School Awards Ceremony

We are so proud of our kids!!! We attended the school awards assembly. All of the kids were recognized for having great attendance. No tardies and less than two absences for the year. I heard a lot of complaints from students and parents alike that this assembly was geared more toward the 5th & 6th graders. There really weren't any awards handed out to other grades. But, lucky for us ~ Brandon is a 6th Grader and he received a lot of awards!!!
He was recognized as a member of the safety patrol. He got certificates for being in the honor roll, attendance, and academics. He got a medal and he also received a special award from the President of the United States. There were only a few students who received that recognition. He also got a special pin that came with it.

Kim & Cannon were sitting with their classes but Brycen was already out so he got to sit with us. Grandma & Grandpa Plante were there too. We told Sharla about it but she didn't want to come. She didn't think it was worth her time because she didn't see it as such a big deal. She asked me what award he was getting & I told her I didn't know exactly. She said it was probably just for attendance and decided to skip it. Boy, did she miss out on a proud mommy moment!!! WAY TO GO BRANDON!!!
